Name – Brother Thelonious
Country – United States
Type – Dubbel
Appearance – Poured a brown color with ruby red highlights on the edges of the glass. Came with a decent sized tan head.
Smell – Sweet caramel with some fruit smells like apple, raisin, pears. Slight pick up of alcohol.
Taste – Pretty on with the smell and pretty distinct alcohol burn throughout. It becomes even more potent the warmer it becomes.
I’ve really been on a Belgian style kick lately. This one comes from North Coast Brewing out of California. It was okay but not as good as the actual Belgians of this style.
Overall Grade – C

I actually love this beer. I’d probably rate it a b or b+, but that’s one reason why I love beer…the freedom of subjectivity.
Here is the review mike did:

Don’t you love the label art?
