I’d have gone to the Cigar City release if it weren’t for the “rules”. I wanted to drive up and back in one day, not register in the morning and wait till 7pm to buy the beer. Why not reserve your spot in line online? I love Cigar City but sadly my schedule doesn’t permit me to spend a whole day and night 250mi from home.

Yeah that is one of the reasons I’m not going but Phil is going to pick me up some stuff while up there. I know Ed is going as well.

Usually between 7:30 – 8:00 people start showing up. We had 7 people hanging out last night and we had Pliny the Elder, Alesmith Speedway Stout, Alesmith Wee Heavy, The Bruery Mischief, Firestone 13, Brooklyn Blast, Yuengling Bock, Great Divide Hoss and Sierra Nevada Estate. Quite a load of fun. I hope you can make it out sometime.

I’ll have to. My mother in law is in town this week and brought me three Boulevard Smokestacks from Kansas City. I’m particularly looking forward to trying the Rye on Rye she brought. (Boulevard is one of many things from KC I miss living down here…)

Those sound good. I’ve never had anything from Boulevard but have always heard good things.

The “rules” for CCB i think are to get people to hang around (even though they say they dont really want you to). The tap list is intense and everything is no growler. Therefore if you want to try you have to hang out.
