Dale’s Pale Ale

Name – Dale’s Pale Ale
Country – United States
Type – American Pale Ale

Appearance – Poured a clear copper color with a good sized white head that left a decent amount of lacing on the glass.

Smell – Lovely combination of citrus hops with malts.

Taste – Really good mix of citrus, pine and earthy hops along with a balance of malts and a slight bit of caramel.

I’ve had Dale’s many times before and think that Oskar Blues should be staples in any bar.  The fact they are all in cans could really appeal to other crowds and get craft beer to newer people.  This really borders on the IPA side of things with it’s bigger hops but is very well balanced.  This is one of the best, if not the best, beers out of a can ever.

Overall Grade – A

I noticed their Gordon Ale last time I was in Total Wine, but it was a bit too spendy for me at the time. ($4 per 12oz can, if I remember right.) I love Dale’s Pale Ale though, and wonder if I should grab one on the way home tonight.

I haven’t had Gordon’s yet. The price turns me off to it as well. But everything I have had from OB has been good. Dale’s, Old Chub and Ten Fidy.
