Name – Belhaven Wee Heavy

Type – Scotch Ale

Appearance – Pours a murky brown color with some red in there.  Good sized slightly off white head that left some lacing.

Smell – Sweet malts with a bit of an apple and smoke smell as well.

Taste – Sweet malts there as well with apples, dark fruit and some roasted malt flavors.  A bit of smoke in there as well.

I’ve been told by some time to try this one and being that I haven’t tried a Scotch ale in quite some time I figured it was finally time.  Excellent blend of flavors in this one that made me a little upset I didn’t get a second bottle.  Oh well I can always go back to the store.  If you like Scotch Ales (Wee Heavys) then you have to try this one.
