Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA

20 Mar

Name - Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA
Country - United States
Type - American IPA

Appearance - Pours a clear amber color with nice white head.  But the head disappears rather quickly and doesn’t leave a whole lot of lacing.

Smell - Piney hops are the main smell here.

Taste - Nice hoppy flavor with pine and floral notes.

Yes this is two Sierra Nevada brews in a row.  When I went to the store I knew I wanted Torpedo but had to grab Bigfoot when I saw it as well.  Now I was a little thrown off because of it saying Extra IPA on the bottle that it was going to be a double IPA but it is not.  So it was not as largely hoppy as I was expecting but it was not a bad IPA in the slightest.  I would recommend this to others and hopefully this becomes as widely available as the Pale Ale since this is a new year round brew for Sierra Nevada.

Overall Grade – B
