    Hop Stoopid

    Name – Hop Stoopid
    Country – United States
    Type – American Double IPA

Appearance – Pours a clear golden color with a big white head that laces the glass amazingly.

Smell – Big grapefruit and floral hops and some malt backing to it.

Taste – Big hops!  Nice big grapefruit hops with some floral notes.  A nice caramel malt backing to it evens things out great.

The name says it all on this one.  This is absolutely one of the finest beers I have ever had let alone DIPAs.  If you like big hops with a good malt backing this one is for you.  This one gets the rare mark from me.

    Overall Grade – A+

    Stone Announces 13th Anniversary Ale

As is a tradition with Stone they have announced what their 13th Anniversary brew will be.  It will be a 9.5% Imperial Red Ale that’s bitterness clocks in at 90 IBUs.  The release date for stores in scheduled at June 29th and I am confident I will be able to get my hands on this based on my local store really keeping up with all the Stone special releases.

    Out of Commission

Due to me not being able to read a label early in the morning I have severely burnt my gums in my mouth.  I did this late last week but the pain and damage did not appear until around Sunday.  Needless to say I will not be able to drink beer for a little while.  I am probably going to the doctors tomorrow to make sure it isn’t infected and if so get some antibiotics for it.  Luckily I do have some reviews that I have just not published yet from previous tastings so I will be able to get some things up in the meantime.
