Hop Stoopid

Name – Hop Stoopid
Country – United States
Type – American Double IPA

Appearance – Pours a clear golden color with a big white head that laces the glass amazingly.

Smell – Big grapefruit and floral hops and some malt backing to it.

Taste – Big hops!  Nice big grapefruit hops with some floral notes.  A nice caramel malt backing to it evens things out great.

The name says it all on this one.  This is absolutely one of the finest beers I have ever had let alone DIPAs.  If you like big hops with a good malt backing this one is for you.  This one gets the rare mark from me.

Overall Grade – A+

I’m also looking forward to going to the Yardhouse out there. There is one in Palm Beach Gardens and the one by you has different selections from breweries you can’t get down here. I’m so stoked!

I’ll check this one out Mike. I haven’t had it, and generally stay away from Lagunitas. In the past, there beer has let me down…but I’m always open to being pleasantly surprised!

I tend to find that Lagunitas special or seasonal brews tend to be better than their normal ones. I really liked Brown Shugga and enjoyed Undercover. I believe this is a seasonal as well.
