Name – Indica India Pale Ale
Country – United States
Type – American IPA
Appearance – Pours a very cloudy dark orange color with nice slight off white head that laced the glass a bit.
Smell – Quite strong hops. Piney, floral and citrusy on those. Mild malt backing to it.
Taste – Big on the hops. Piney and citrus hop flavors all the way through. The taste lingers afterward for a good while as well. Some sweet caramel taste in there but the hops are overpowering that.
I will be one of the first ones to admit I love hoppy beers, especially IPAs, but I found this one slightly over board. While the hops were nice it just didn’t seem like it mixed well. The bitter after taste is not always a bad thing but I found this one sort of unusual. A major hop head may really like this one but if you like a malt backing to it then you probably wouldn’t care for this one.
Overall Grade – C

Funny name for the beer. This one is really playing on the fact that hops are in the same family as a certain herb. Maybe it was doomed to begin with.
