Name – Delirium Nocturnum
Country – Belgium
Type – Belgian Strong Dark Ale
Appearance – Pours a deep brown color with a big frothy head.
Smell – Lots of sweet malt smells here with a tiny hit of the alcohol.
Taste – Quite sweet with the malts and tastes of caramel, raisins, grapes.
I’ve been meaning to try this for such a very long time and finally got myself around to picking it up. It is definitely sweeter than what many might expect but don’t let that fool you as it is 8.5% ABV and could put you down for the count if you don’t pay attention. I enjoyed this over other Belgian brews I have had.
Overall Grade – A-
