Name – Sierra Nevada ESB (Early Spring Beer)
Country – United States
Type – Extra Special Bitter
Appearance – Copper color almost red in appearance. White head was small.
Smell – Pleasing smell was a bit hoppy with a slight citrus tint to it.
Taste – Good mouthfull with a bitter, taste but not overpowering. Had slightly nutty taste to me. Very refreshing from start to finish. No bad after taste.
As a fan of other Sierra Nevada brews I was optimistic on this one and it stood up to my preconceptions. I think the play off of the name ESB by calling it Early Spring Beer fits. It would be a very good beer for those spring nights or maybe even not as humid summer nights when you just want to sit on the porch and enjoy a good refreshing beer.
Overall Grade – B+
