    Penn Weizen

    Name – Penn Weizen
    Country – United States
    Type – Hefeweizen

Appearance – A very hazy, straw color of gold.  Very minimal head.

Smell – Faint smell of pear with the traditional wheat smell.

Taste – The taste is just about the same as the smell.  Wheats really don’t fool you at all which is good.

While this is a good wheat ale I have a hard time really seeing it stand out amongst other wheats.  While it is good there is nothing that just grabs me and makes me feel like this one is special.  If you like wheats you won’t be disappointed but you possibly won’t be blown away by it.

    Overall Grade – C+

    Shock Top

Name – Skock Top Belgian White
    Country – United States
    Type – Wheat Ale

Appearance – A very hazy gold with a orange tint. Small amount of head, not to my liking but normal in many wheat beers.

Smell – Not very strong, has a hint of a spicy orange if that makes sense. Not spicy like hot, but a mix of aromatic spices.

Taste – Taste is just as to be expected by the smell, a very delicous mix of citrus and spice.

    Overall Grade – A
