    Lagunitas Lucky 13 Anniversary Release

Name – Lagunitas Lucky 13 Anniversary Release
    Country – United States
    Type – American Red Ale

Appearance – Pours a clear, deep red color with a slightly off white head that laces the glass a good deal.

Smell – Nice bold citrus hops with a caramel and other earthy notes in the back.

Taste – Big hops that mix lovely with sweet malt backing to it.

To say I was really happy with this would be an understatement.  The hop and malt mixture was very good giving a nice full taste without overpowering you with hops.

    Overall Grade – A

New South Florida Beer Spot Page

So I decided to revamp the beer bar page completely. Instead I have made a Google Map of South Florida beer bars, stores, brewpubs and breweries. Please go ahead and check it out here. Please leave any feedback too. If you know any apps to use for making a better map and directory please let me know as I couldn’t really find anything else.  Also if there is a place you think I should add that is missing please let me know and I will definitely do so.

    Wittekerke

    Name – Wittekerke
    Country – Belgium
    Type – Witbier

Appearance – Poured a very hazy straw gold color with a big bubbly white head.

Smell – There is a really funky yeast smell to it.  Notes of wheat and lemon can be picked up too.

Taste – You definitely get the yeast and luckily the taste of it isn’t as strange as the smell.  You get some citrus tastes in there that is mostly lemon.

I went for the bottled version over the can on this review.  I made sure to give it a swirl at the end of the pour to get any sediment on the bottom of the bottle.  The smell was really strange and strong but the taste was exactly what you would expect from a witbier.  It was smooth and refreshing in the last few days of the summer.  Would give it a full B if not for the smell.

    Overall Grade – B-
