Today Due South Brewing in Boynton Beach announced their grand opening to the public will be May 12th. Owner Mike Halker let me know brewing will begin next week to have plenty of beers on tap for the opening. They will be announcing them as they brew them. So mark your calendars South Florida because this will be a fun day. Stay tuned for more information as the date comes closer.

Two days ago in an interview posted on Serious Eats with Cigar City head brewer Wayne Wambles, Wayne confirmed a long rumored collaboration to be brewed with Boca Raton’s Funky Buddha Brewery. I had a quick text message from Funky Buddha owner Ryan Sentz to confirm the collaboration but no further details at this time. Once they are available you will be sure to hear them right here.
As I mentioned in yesterday’s post there is a few after parties for the Old School Beer Fest. And one in particular is at Coffee District where the taps will be filled with beers with so much hops in them that your enamel is in danger all night long.
The Night of 1000 IBUs will feature a number of hop forward beers across the taps. Which ones you might ask? Well here you go.
So come on out after the fest and enjoy some hoppy, hoppy beers.
