Funky Buddha and Tequesta to Collaborate; Buddha Northern Bound

Funky Buddha Brewery does not seem to like down time.  Yesterday via Twitter they announced yet another collaboration brewing they will be doing.  This time it will be with Tequesta Brewing Company.  No details are known other than that it will be brewed next week, during American Craft Beer Week, at Tequesta.  When more become available you will certainly be able to read it here.

In other Funky Buddha news, the brewery will be sending a number of kegs (and people from the brewery) up to Philadelphia in June for this year’s Philly Beer Week celebration.  Being that I am originally from the Philly area this is bitter sweet for me.  I love that one of my Florida favorites is going to my home town to enjoy a great week of beer.  But I am disappointed that I can not attend, unfortunately someone else at my work had that period already reserved for time off months ago.

Ryan from the Buddha said they will probably be doing at least 4 events with Monk’s Cafe, Hulmeville Inn, Prohibition and Woody’s already having events announced.  If you are a Philly beer geek or a Florida one looking to travel be sure to keep up with the Buddha to know where else they plan on being.

American Craft Beer Week is Around the Corner

With American Craft Beer Week kick off Monday, May 14th there are a number of events planned throughout South Florida.  I have updated the Event page here at MikeLovesBeer.com with a number of them.  I will continue adding more and will be spotlighting particular ones in the coming days.  So be sure to keep checking back for tastings, dinners, tap takeovers and much more for this year’s American Craft Beer Week.

NOTE FOR ED ROBERTS – I didn’t purposely leave off the Total Wine events. They will be added, just haven’t had the chance to yet.  There are a hell of a lot of events.
