I attend a lot of just get togethers with friends that involve sharing bottles of great beer with each other.  Monday nights in particular at Coffee District are Social Beer Night and I always end up having some incredible beers there that I maybe would not be able to try otherwise.  And I would really love to share my experiences of having some of these beers with you my fine readers.  But in social situations I tend to spend more time talking with people than taking any sort of notes on the brews I’m partaking in.  Therefore it makes it hard to write a review.  But that is changing.

I’ll openly admit that the name of this is not of my creation.  I honestly don’t 100% remember who came up with it but something is pointing me towards Phil, from Dos Beerigos and my partner in crime on United We Drink.  It is called Big Beers, Small Thoughts.

I’ll take around 5 beers from that tasting and make notes on them.  Then I will write up a nice little blurb on each beer and post them here.

So be on the look out tomorrow for the first edition of Big Beers, Small Thoughts as tonight is Social Beer Night.  And before you can say something like, “But Mike it’s Valentine’s Day.  You should be spending it with your girlfriend.”  I shall be as she has to work tonight.  And she is the always amazing bartender at Coffee District.
