Tonight at Rack’s Downtown Eatery the beers of Shipyard will be paired up with wonderful dishes from the fine Boca Raton restaurant.  And without any delay here is the menu.

Course 1: Buffalo Frogs Legs Farmhouse Ranch and Celery Hearts
paired with Shipyard Brewer’s Brown Ale

Course 2: Yellow Tomato Salad Butterrmilk Blue Cheese, Arugula and Charred Red Onion Vinaigrette
paired with Shipyard Summer Ale

Course 3: New England Fish n Chips Shipyard Battered Cod, Cut Kettle Chips and Malt Vinegar Aioli
paired with Shipyard Fuggles IPA

Course 4: Colorado Buffalo Burger, Butter Lettuce, Jalapeno Cream Cheese and Beefsteak Tomato
paired with Shipyard Imperial Porter

Unless you live under a rock you are probably well aware of it being American Craft Beer Week right now.  And of course there are so many wonderful beer events going on this week.  One in particular I have to endorse because I’ll be there.

Tomorrow night at Coffee District in Delray Beach, FL will be a special night with Shipyard Brewing.  Matt, the local Shipyard rep, will be out in full force with kegs of XXXX IPA, Imperial Porter, Double Thumper, Export Ale, Summer Ale and Sea Dog Blue Paw.

Not enough for you?  Well they will also be holding a raffle for tons of Shipyard/Sea Dog schwag.  Buy a beer, get a ticket.  Come on, all us beer geeks love free beer stuff.

And to top things off Phil and I will be on location recording our next episode of United We Drink.  We tried this before to a massive failure that still haunts us to this day.  But we are better, our equipment is better and we will get this done.  Some come out and hang out with the UWD crew.

It happens once a year.  For one week the entire US craft beer drinking community celebrates all that is craft beer.  American Craft Beer Week 2011 is here.  And for those of you in South Florida there are plenty events to go around.  Since there are so many I am going to just credit Phil from Dos Beerigos and Fresh Beer Inc for this list of events.

Monday, May 16th

  Thursday is new beer night, and the buddha will be tapping a very limtied keg of; _____________.  Well you will have to show up and see for yourself.  Happy Hour (2-4-1) till 7pm on the Buddha Beers.  Drink Local!
• Ales on the Avenue – Pub Crawl!
  The crawl will begin at Tryst then continue on to The Office, Paddy McGee’s, and Cut 432. The ‘after-party’ will be at Coffee District. Each stop will feature a different craft brewery and will be offering at least two beers at a special price.  Participants are asked to come to Tryst for registration between 5:30pm and 6:30pm where they will receive a wristband which will indicate they are part of the group.

  Shipyard Raffle Night -  Buy a Shipyard or Sea Dog draft beer and get a raffle ticket to win some American Craft Beer Week Shwag… They’ll have some special Shipyard Brews including XXXX IPA, Double Thumper and Imperial Porter all on draft! 7-9pm  Plus Mike and Phil will be recording this week’s United We Drink right here on premise!

Friday, May 20th

  Beer Tasting featuring Victory V-12, Rogue Double Mocha Porter, Avery the Reverend, and Cigar City Guava Grove. A great opportunity to sample and enjoy the great selection of craft beers Hollywood Vine has to offer! Stop in from 7-9pm for a taste… while they last.
• BX Beer Depot
  Tiki Bar’s 2nd Anniversary Party; They’ll be featuring two breweries on this night, as well as serving smoked BBQ.  From 7pm-Midnight stop in for some music and brews. Featured kegs are Avery Maharaja and Tequesta Brewing Co.’s Special Mystery Kegs.
• The Lodge
  Victory Beer Night; They’ll have Helios, Braumeister Saaz Pils and Hop Devil ALL ON DRAFT. Plus if you buy your first pint, you get to keep the glass! (while supplies last). Starting at 8pm, come on out for some delicious limited draft brews.

Saturday, May 21st

  Blue Point Brewing Night; tarting at 6pm, they’ll be pouring all of the year round Blue Point Beers on draft PLUS some limited releases including their Imperial Sour Cherry Stout and No Apologies Imperial IPA both on DRAFT!

Sunday, May 22nd

• Smoke T (1450 South Dixie Highway Coral Gables, FL 33146)
  Stone Brewing BRUNCH;That’s right you read that correctly. We will be pairing up some AMAZING dishes with Stone beers because nothing is better than beer early on a Sunday to help cure any pains from the night before. The menu is the following:
  1^st course: Ruination IPA Bloody Mary paired with a french toast bite; thick cut challah bread topped with berries, frosted almonds with a maple glaze
  2^nd course: Levitation Ale paired with eggs benedict; homemade biscuit, sausage patty, and poached egg topped with a chipotle hollandaise sauce
  3^rd course: Sublimely Self-Righteous paired with chicken mole and a side of scrambled eggs
  4^th course: Stone Smoked Porter poured through the Randall (filled with Bacon) creating Bacon-infused Smoked Porter paired with bacon pancake with chocolate-smoked porter-maple butter, topped with a piece of pork belly
  Starts at brunch time… 10:30am. Early reservations will be $35 and $45 at the door (plus tax and tip).
