Unearthly

24 Mar

Name – Unearthly
Country – United States
Type – American Double IPA

Appearance – Poured a hazy orange color with a big slightly off white head.

Smell – Very floral and sweet smell.  Almost like bubble gum mixed floral hops

Taste – Wow what a balanced DIPA.  Strong floral and citrus hops mix with the malts very well.  A sweet bubble gum and cotton candy like taste in there as well.

I’ve had this bottle for a few weeks and just haven’t gotten around to having it yet.  It is so extremely well balanced with hops and malts.  I honestly wouldn’t think to much that this is a DIPA over a regular IPA.  This make me excited to try the Oak Aged version whenever that may get down here.  Awesome one Southern Tier!

Overall Grade – A

I think besides Chocolat, this is their best beer so far in the South Florida area.

Iniquity was really awesome too in my opinion. I’m very happy they are here.

Glad you liked it. I love it. The Oaked version became my favorite DIPA the moment I tasted it.

I reviewed this one a while ago, and to me it had almost like a big mushroom earthiness to it, but in a great way. I totally love this brew. Its awesome. Here is a link FYI. http://beerandwhiskeybros.com/2010/01/22/an-otherworldly-experience/
