Twin Sisters Double IPA

13 Jan

Name - Twin Sisters Double IPA
Country - United States
Type - American Double IPA

Appearance - Poured a pale yellow maybe slightly orange color that was slightly hazy.  Had a nice white head that laced the glass some what.

Smell - Citrus like hop smell.

Taste - Hits you first with a taste of grapefruit and then goes to a slightly pine like hoppy taste and finishes with a very slight alcohol tint.

I had sampled this at the beer and food pairing that I went to in November with some carrot cake.  I thought this was a good double IPA but just not up there with some of the others I have had in the past.  I would still recommend this one.

Overall Grade – B-

I have to agree. I recently tried this same beer and I would give it a B as well. Compared to other double IPAs, this brew was a bit too piney for me. I also tend to prefer darker beers anyway when I order at my favorite local bar.
