Brooklyn Brewmaster Garrett Oliver Coming to South Florida

I’ve been saying for quite a long time that Garrett Oliver is one of the most interesting people in all of craft beer.  His charisma is off the charts and boy does he have some great stories.  And that is without mentioning the great beers he brews and the awesome contributions he makes to pairing beer and food.  Well South Florida if you want to meet a true beer legend you are going to have your chance.

This morning my buddy Rob from Daily Beer Review broke the news that Garrett Oliver will be visiting South Florida on August 24th.  He will be at the Total Wine in Pembroke Pines to meet and greet fans while he pours some of Brooklyn’s beer for tastings.  He will also be able to sign bottles or any copies of his books that you may have.

This is an extremely rare type of event so you don’t want to miss this.  And the kicker of it all, as if you needed more, is it’s free.  Yes, free.  So mark your calendar and be sure to be there.

Where:  Total Wine Pembroke Pines
When:  Tuesday, August 24, 2010 6:30-7:00pm

I might even shave and dress up, Florida style of course, for this night. “Garrett, could you please sign this bottle of beer made out to ‘My Best Friend Rob’?” Hahahahahahhaaaa
