Name – Raspberry Stout
Country – United States
Type – Raspberry Stout
Appearance – Pours a brownish red color with a thin tan line of a head. Can see bits of raspberry going to the bottom of the glass.
Smell – Fresh raspberries.
Taste – Raspberries right off the bat but not like raspberry flavoring, real ones. Tastes like if you just ate a few right off from a market. There was some slightly dark fruit flavors to it as well and a little alcohol bit at the end.
This was the second of the home brews that I got from Chung and boy was this different. He said it was a stout so I expected it to be heavy but it really wasn’t. It looked like a Belgian style ale in it’s consistency then drank like one too. The real raspberries used in it do make it quite sweet but a very nice after dinner sipping beer.
Overall Grade – B-

Maybe I’ll have to send a home brew your way before too awfully long.
