Little Break + Events

I haven’t been the best South Florida beer blogger recently.  I’ve felt dull lately and believe my readers don’t deserve dull.  I try to let you all know about the great craft beer events going on in South Florida but try to make it fun and engaging.  I feel like I have not been that in posts recently.  I feel like I’m just giving you the low down and that’s it.

With that I’m going to take a little break for a bit and refocus.  There has been a lot on my mind and that is taking away from my view on the site.  But fear not.  In the meantime I am updating the events page with a bunch of upcoming events I believe you should know about.  So do keep checking there.

I’ll also still be on Twitter for those of you that follow me and want to chat a bit.

I thank you all for your continued support and readership.  I’ll be back soon and completely rejuvenated.  Cheers!

I believe I first saw this blog on Twitter. Anyway, I realize you may or my not see this but figure, asking can not hurt. I am moving to Cape Coral at the end of June. I know Tampa has a lot going on beer wise and I cannot wait to visit Cigar City as well as St. Somewhere. As far as the Fort Myers/Cape Coral area all I am familiar with is Total Wine and World of Beer (which I have heard is a very legitimate beer bar chain). Is there anything else beer wise I can look forward to in the area? Or do I just need to save my money and work on that issue myself?

@Timothy – Thanks for reading. I honestly am not familiar with the Fort Myers/Cape Coral/Naples area. It’s about 2 and a half hours from me on the other coast.

I do know there is the WOB over there. And it’s good for what it is. If you want to try a bunch of different beers you will have that at your disposal. If you like a chilled out and relaxed atmosphere, that you won’t get. The vibe is really like that of a sports bar but with just a bunch of beer.

Total Wine is probably your best bet with getting bottles.

I know there is Marco Island Brewery in Marco Island. It’s a brewpub. I haven’t had anything from them but it will probably be something to check out.

Sorry I can’t be of more help but that area is not really my expertise.
