One Week Left to Help Wilderness Brewing

A month or so ago I wrote about my fellow beer bloggers and friends Mike and Nate’s venture into starting a brewery, Wilderness Brewing Co.  They started a Kickstarter campaign in the attempt to raise money to fund the project.

Well with just about a week left they aren’t there yet.  So I am reaching out to you my readers once again to help.  I know financial times are tough for a lot of us and sometimes just giving money away is not the first or even second choice we have.  But let me lay out a few things to keep in mind about this campaign.

  • You can pledge as little as $1.  If even 100 people pledge just a single dollar that’s $100.  Or if 100 pledge $5 it’s $500.  Okay math lesson complete.
  • You will not be charged for the pledge until August 3rd and only if their goal of $40,000 is met.  So you have a week to ensure the funds are in your account at that time.
  • But most importantly you will be helping a couple great guys live their dream of starting a brewery.  And as craft beer lovers don’t we all want to see more small, independent, craft breweries?

And believe me when I say that Mike and Nate are good guys.  For over 2 years we have been active readers of each other’s blogs.  We have had many discussions and debates (I still remember Mike highly disagreeing with my rating of Duchesse).  We have a lot of differences in our lives.  They are religious, I’m not.  They are both married, while I’m still unwed.  But we have common bond that we love good craft beer and enjoy the community that comes with it.

So please show these guys that the craft beer community all over the country cares.  I’ve already pledged myself.  You can hit the tab that says backers and scroll down and see me on there.  So head over to the campaign and pledge what you can.  It will go a long way.

I really hope they can pull this off! I would say that even if you never heard of these guys, or don’t even like beer, consider helping them out. For a buck or two, you can contribute to making a dream come true!
