Name – Terrapin Side Project The Dark Side
Country – United States
Type – Belgian Strong Dark Ale
Appearance – Poured a jet black color with a big brown head.
Smell – Nice chocolate scent with hints of coffee and vanilla.
Taste – The chocolate and vanilla flavors mix well together with a bit of a roasted malt and coffee backing to it.
I was really excited to get this one after I heard about it. My first tasting of it was on draft at the Coffee District in Delray Beach, FL and that was my staple there until the keg was kicked. I was only able to get a couple bottle in Pembroke Pines but I got them. Absolutely lovely beer. I just can’t get enough of these chocolate winter seasonals. I wish there were some of them that were year round.
Overall Grade – A
