Name – Augustijn
Country – Belgium
Type – Tripel
Appearance – Pours a mostly hazy orangish color with a big bubbly white head. It stuck around a bit but then subsided into the brew.
Smell – Apples, cherries and yeast are picked up.
Taste – The apple and cherry are present in the taste as well. There is a bit of banana in there and a little bit of malts as well.
A pretty good tripel. A little heavier than most ones I have had in the style but still refreshing. I know a lot of people really like this one but tripel just isn’t one of my favorite Belgian styles. I don’t know why. But It is still good for what it is.
Overall Grade – B
