Name – Doggie Style Classic Pale Ale
Country – United States
Type – American Pale Ale
Appearance – Pours a pretty clear copper color with a big white head. There is some lacing that it leaves on the glass.
Smell – Grapefruit like hops, some grass like hops too. Yeasty like smell.
Taste – Grapefruit hops that mix with a bit of a toasty malt flavor and the yeast like taste to balance it out.
Flying Dog is finally back in South Florida and I started it off with Doggie Style. A pretty well rounded pale ale. As you know I am a fan of hops that have grapefruit taste to them and this one is like that. Glad to have the Dog back in South Florida.
Overall Grade – B

While I’m not a huge fan of Doggy Style (I thinks is plain and typical, and could use a boost of malt sweetness) I had their double IPA last night and thought it was much better.

I intend on having Double Dog shortly. I have heard that it is quite good.
