Name – Harpoon IPA
Country – United States
Type – American IPA
Appearance – Poured a clear almost amber color with a good sized white head that left a good amount of lacing on the glass.
Smell – Some citrus and grassy hops up front but nothing over board.
Taste – The hops come out first followed by a sweet malty flavor to finish. Finishes very good. Very well blended.
This is a pretty good, no scratch that, a very good example of a well balanced IPA. The hops and malts are there. Neither over powers the other and neither is just plain over powering at all. Glad I decided to get a sixer of this from the grocery store.
Overall Grade – B+
