Name – O.K. Beer
Country – Poland
Type – Euro Pale Lager
Appearance – Pours a very clear with straw color to it. Nice sized white head that stuck around surprisingly for quite awhile.
Smell – Grains and some subtle hops. I pick up a slight lemon sweetness.
Taste – Mostly grainy malt flavors that is very crisp. Again some subtle hops can be picked up. Goes down smooth.
I had to try a beer from the country of heritage of one side of my family so I picked this one up. I expected a typical Euro style pils but got a little more than I bargained for. The head retention was amazing for the style as you typically see heads fade away after a few seconds. Very crisp and smooth that isn’t all watered down. Hey AB, this is closer to drinkability than anything you have.
Overall Grade – B

I love this beer…but probably because I’m polish. I drink it every year at the polish fest in Toledo, OH alongside kielbasa and pierogi. I agree that you get more than you expect.

I did not know you were Polish Nate. Great to know. Man I miss good pierogis. My grandma made amazing ones and the ones out of the box just don’t match up to hers.
August 12, 2009 at 8:47 amYeah, My grandma immigrated here as a child. Once in a while I actually cook her family recipe. It’s so good but a ton of work. If work ever bring you through Toledo (or I to florida) we’ll have to have a feast. (with okacim)

August 12, 2009 at 8:57 amThis is one of my favorite Polish beers. My best friend’s grandfather always has O.K. beer and a variety of Polish sausages ready for us after a brutal round of golf. Good stuff.
