Name – Shakespeare Stout
Country – United States
Type – American Stout
Appearance – Poured a deep black color with a light brown head that was gone pretty quickly.
Smell – Roasted malts with a little bit of chocolate picked up in the smell.
Taste – Lots of roasted malts that lead to a bit of a coffee taste. Some sweet chocolate can be picked up in there as well and a very slight hoppy presence to give it a little bit of a bitter taste.
A pretty straight forward stout if you ask me. The coffee taste was a little much for my personal taste as I’m not a fan of coffee but it didn’t make the beer not enjoyable. Nothing really overboard and all the things you would come to expect from a stout.
Overall Grade – B-
