Name – Yeti Imperial Stout
Country – United States
Type – Russian Imperial Stout
Appearance – Poured a deep, deep black with a big light brown head. Just looks delicious.
Smell – The chocolate and malts smells were intense. Made me think I was going to drink a malted milkshake. There were some roasted notes of coffee as well.
Taste – Very nice blend of the sweet chocolate and roasted coffee like malts in there. Finishes with a slight alcohol burn but very minimal.
A very good all around Imperial Stout. I was completely caught off guard by how prominent the chocolate was in both the smell and taste. It made it very enjoyable for me. I would definitely grab a bottle of this again.
Overall Grade – A-

loved it! One of my 3 favorite Russian Imperial Stouts (Otter Creek RIS and Boaks Monster Mash)
Here is my take on the Yeti:

I need to try this one again…it’s been a while. I’d like to get the chocolate version, too. I thought their Espresso version was lackluster.

July 30, 2009 at 8:05 pmI doubt I would like the Espresso version because I’m not big on coffee but a chocolate version sounds awesome.
