Name – Guinness 250th Anniversary Stout
Country – Ireland
Type – Irish Dry Stout
Appearance – Poured a deep black color with a slightly off white head that was gone real quick.
Smell – Slight coffee, roasted malts and smoke smell to it.
Taste – Slight roasted malt flavor with some slight hints of chocolate and hops in the back. Very thin body compared to the regular draught stout.
This was to me a lot like the regular draught stout just a lot lighter. It didn’t have as big of a body as it’s counter part. Not bad though overall but I would rather have the normal one in the future.
Overall Grade – C

I absolutely agree with a C rating on this beer. I would drink extra or regular Guinness Stout over this any day of the week. It was simply lack-luster.
June 22, 2009 at 12:13 pmI was looking forward to trying this Guinness 250, but I’ve read so many reviews that gave it a lackluster rating. Maybe if I see it in a single I’ll grab one but otherwise I’m passing!
June 22, 2009 at 3:12 pmYeah I am definitely glad I got it as a single as opposed to the six pack.
June 22, 2009 at 4:50 pmI picked up a single out of respect for the part Guinness played in goading me on in my path to good beer. A+ for nostalgia, C+ on flavor. I drank mine at room temp. Probably would be a D chilled.
June 23, 2009 at 10:22 amThat’s probably the same reason I picked it up too Nate.
