Type - American Pale Wheat Ale
Appearance - Pours a very cloudy, straw yellow color with a big bubbly white head.
Smell - Smells of wheat, yeast, spices and citrus hops are present.
Taste - Light wheat/yeast flavor with zesty lemon and spice notes to it.
This is a decent wheat ale as it lacks some in flavor but isn’t completely missing it. It definitely would do the job that most wheats do and quench one’s thirst on a hot summer day. There are better out there but there are also worse.
Overall Grade – C+
Gotta agree with you here…
I had this one a few months ago. i thought it was too thin.
I find most of Harpoon Brews are missing something, being thin, lacking body and definition. Actually, they all kind of taste the same to me. I’ve had their beers, but I stay away from them, there are far better options out there.
They recently came out with a new series of bigger, bolder beers. I haven’t seen any down here yet, we are always last, but will try some if they do.
