Name – Brooklyn Local 1
Country – United States
Type – Belgian Strong Pale Ale
Appearance – Pours a very hazy straw to orange color with a big foamy white head.
Smell – There was a whole lot going on here. Sweet malts with hints of raisin, granny smith apple, spices and orange.
Taste – Taste is pretty much right on with the smell. Sweet tastes of all the above mentioned with a bit of a bite of yeast and the alcohol.
I really enjoyed this one as it is a very complex smell and taste, and not in a bad way. They brought a lot to the table and I know I’m probably missing some things that can be picked up in there but it all mixes so well. I highly recommend this one.
Overall Grade – A

I saw this recently, and was torn between trying this or a bottle of their ‘Black Ops’. Being a terrible decision maker, I didn’t get either one! This sounds like a nice Belgian Wheat type beer and if you gave it an A I’ll have to go back for it!
