Two Hearted Ale

Name – Two Hearted Ale
Country – United States
Type – American IPA

Appearance – Pours a murky gold color that is not transparent at all with a nice fluffy white head.

Smell – Nice smells of citrus and slight hints of pine.

Taste – Nice citrus notes of grapefruit, lemon and orange with a good combination of hops.  Not over powering on the hops here.

Bell’s comes through with a really simple and really good IPA here.  They didn’t do anything fancy or try to be big on the hops and it works.  Straight and to the point.  For anyone that is interested in IPAs but don’t like a lot of hops I would highly recommend this one.

Overall Grade – A

love love LOVE this beer! Tried it when I was in DC last May, and drank it all week long. Cried over my last glass before I flew back to the Bell’s-Brew-Free state of CA 🙁

As I said I think that this a perfect example of how an IPA should. That really stinks that you don’t have it out there.

I remember you mentioning that this would be the IPA I should try as a non-IPA fan. U haven’t seen it yet where I am, but its at the top of my list when I do. It just seems like breweries are taking the IPA concept to the extreme. Maybe that’s the point!

I highly recommend this one. It is exactly what I think an IPA should be. Nothing over board, just a well made beer with all the characteristics that an IPA should have in my opinion.
