He’Brew Genesis Ale
Name - He’Brew Genesis Ale
Country - United States
Type - American Pale Ale
Appearance - A nice light copper color with a nice white, foamy head.
Smell - A sweet but faint caramel smell.
Taste - All the tastes seemed very faint to me. There was a sweet yet hoppy appeal to it but it just was not all there.
I found that the Genesis Ale started out with promise but ultimately didn’t finish properly. The appearance and smell were there but the taste just lacked overall to me. I guess you could say it just wasn’t strong enough for me. If the flavors came out a little more with a punch this would have probably been better.
Overall Grade - C-

Hey there. This is Zak from Shmaltz Brewing Company. Sorry the Genesis didn’t quite do it for you. Definitely make a point of trying some of our other beers. The two beers that we carry in 6-packs are the first two beers that we ever released. We’ve come a long way since then and now have 11 beers that come out over the course of a year. Our Bittersweet Lenny’s RIPA is a killer. L’Chaim!!

I will definitely be checking out other brews from Shmaltz. I won’t let this keep me from trying other ones. =)

Liz seemed to like the Coney Island Lager - maybe give that one a shot!

I like it when I sampled it a recent beer fest. But I have my eye on Lenny’s RIPA from them. I just got an email back from some places around me that carry it and will be grabbing that soon.
