Hoegaarden

12 Jun

Name - Hoegaarden
Country - Belgium
Type - Belgian White Ale

Appearance - A hazy yellow color with a nice frothy head.

Smell - Very pleasant smell. A little strong on the yeasty side but I find that very pleasant for a wheat beer.

Taste - Slightly bitter with a taste of citrus. No added fruit needed for this at all.

Overall a very good wheat beer. While I have not had many wheat beers yet I must say this is one of the tops that I have had. Very good lounging beer because it is filling without having a very heavy taste.

Overall Grade – B

The first beer tasting was a huge success, good times had by all(Mike and myself). I look forward to participating and writing my own review. If anyone wants to try a REAL MAN’s beer ask Mike about OLD STOCK, that will put some hair on your chest. OLOD STOCK reminds me of a strong stout with a 151 floater.
